About the role
Vertiv is hiring a Senior Manager, Vertiv Operating System in Westerville, OH.
- Chief of Staff Role: Assume a chief of staff role within the VOS department, working closely with the leadership team to drive internal governance initiatives.
- Streamline operations, and enhance overall departmental effectiveness.
- Lead the development and coordination of standards, frameworks, and processes within the VOS department, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives and industry best practices.
- Act as a key coordinator between different teams and stakeholders within the VOS department, facilitating communication, collaboration, and the implementation of strategic initiatives.
- Provide oversight for internal governance structures and processes, ensuring compliance with organizational policies and industry standards.
- Identify opportunities for improvement and drive necessary changes.
- Establish and manage a comprehensive documentation system for internal governance processes, standards, and frameworks. Ensure accessibility and understanding of documentation for relevant stakeholders.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather input, address challenges, and ensure consistent implementation of standards and frameworks across various functions within the VOS department.
- Identify opportunities for process optimization and efficiency improvements. Work collaboratively with teams to implement changes and enhance overall operational effectiveness.
- Define and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) related to internal governance and standards. Provide regular reports to senior management on performance, compliance, and the success of implemented frameworks.
- Act as a change agent, guiding teams through transitions associated with the implementation of new standards and frameworks. Provide support and communication to ensure smooth adaptation.
- Provide support to the VOS leadership team in strategic planning activities, contributing insights and recommendations to enhance departmental strategies and objectives.
Responsibilities:
Under the direction of Global VP of VOS, this individual contributor will:
- Serve as key contributor to global VOS deployment.
- Lead internal to VOS governance.
- Collaborate closely with VOS leadership, serving as a chief of staff to drive internal governance initiatives.
- Streamline operations and enhance overall departmental effectiveness.
- Lead the development and coordination of standards, frameworks, and processes within the VOS department.
- Ensure alignment with organizational objectives and industry best practices.
- Act as a key coordinator between different teams and stakeholders within the VOS department.
- Facilitate communication, collaboration, and the implementation of strategic initiatives.

Education & Certifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent of 7-10 plus years’ experience
- Six Sigma / Lean certifications / PMP, preferred - Black Belt / Master BB preferred
- Smartsheet / Power BI experience
Requirements
Required Experience
- Proven experience in a chief of staff or coordination role within a corporate setting.
- Familiarity with governance, standards development, and process coordination.
- Experience in implementing continuous improvement methodologies.
- Prior experience using word processing, spreadsheet, statistical analysis, and presentation software.
Skills Required
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, utilizing data-driven insights for decision-making.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, conveying complex concepts clearly.
- Ability to create and manage comprehensive documentation systems.
- Demonstrated project management skills, planning, executing, and overseeing projects from conception to completion.
- Experience leading change management initiatives, guiding teams through transitions.
- Proven leadership skills, motivating and guiding cross-functional teams toward common goals.
- Ability to adapt to a dynamic work environment, managing multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Years of Experience: 7 to 10+
- Travel Requirement 10 to 25%
