Job Description

As a Research Assistant in the Antibody and Bioresource Core Facility you will be an essential member of the team discovering new monoclonal antibodies for research, some with the potential to be leveraged in the clinic as diagnostics and possibly therapeutics. You will share responsibility for more than 15 projects at any one time using hybridoma technology.
You are:
- An effective communicator, capable of resolving how best to reach different audiences.
- Adept at planning and prioritizing work to meet commitments with a keen eye for detail.
- Eager to seek new opportunities and tough challenges with a sense of urgency, high energy, and passion.
You will:
- Conduct a wide variety of screening assays for Investigators’ antibody discovery projects and optimizing them as necessary.
- Ensure laboratory equipment, assays and supplies for maintain the lab fully operational and well stocked.
- Work will involve animal work, cell culture and screening assays assays (e.g., ELISA, Immunofluorescence and Flow Cytometry).
- Respond to and produce reports comprising of the requested statistics for the project as requested by the core facility head and members of the core facility team.
- Be responsible for scheduling staff and ensuring timeliness of work; may contribute to the performance appraisal process.
- Develop proficiency testing and preparation of reports by following outlined technical procedures and supervise inventory using quality-control mechanisms and documentation
- Maintain well detailed records of all antibody discovery projects.
You need:
- 5-7 years of work experience in a Biological Laboratory Environment, including proficiency with basic animal research techniques and tissue culture. Experience in techniques using antibody is a plus.
- Excellent analytical skills and data analysis.
