About the Job:

Reporting to the Head of Software, this role will be the technical lead for OpenCV and ML at Butlr. OpenCV and ML will be used in both detection and pose estimation for Butlr Solutions.

Responsibilities:

• Lead the development of an OpenCV based detection algorithms using the multiple types of thermal sensors that are in Butlr’s portfolio.
• Help in developing the already started pose estimation for fall detection and lead the development of other pose estimations that are more advanced.
• With the team develop and lead a plan to develop a production ready OpenCV based product.
• Work with the team to review existing ideas and flush out the requirements and possible solutions to use openCV and ML to develop the Butlr product.
• Own the development of critical parts of the current Butlr solution and finding the direction of new ones.

Requirements:

• PhD/MS in engineering, technology, computer science, machine learning, robotics, operations research, statistics, mathematics or equivalent quantitative field
• At least 4+ years of experience in solving computer vision problems
• Experience developing fullstack computer vision systems including - sensor selection, calibration, robust algorithm development and monitoring at scale
• Excellent communication skills, both written and oral with both technical and business people. Ability to speak at a level appropriate for the audience.
• Proficiency in at least one OO language: C++, GO
• Proficiency in at least one scripting/functional language: Python, Bash, C
• CI/CD development experience and associated technologies
• Preferred: Experience building complex software systems, especially involving deep learning, machine learning and computer vision, that have been successfully delivered to customers
• Preferred: Experience in large data systems
• Preferred: Experience in IoT
