Description
The Senior Vendor Management Professional works as liaison between vendors and organization. The Senior Vendor Management Professional work assignments involve moderately complex to complex issues where the analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of variable factors.Responsibilities
Location: remote
The Senior Vendor Management Professional reviews and negotiates terms of vendor contracts and communicates with vendors to regarding day-to-day matters. Builds and maintains positive relationship with vendors and monitor vendor performance. Researches invoice and contractual issues and resolve discrepancies.
We are a multi-disciplinary team with oversight of all non-clinical outsourced business functions within the Clinical Operations organization—to include Authorization Intake, Utilization Management, and Care Management areas. The team delivers on effective BPO (vendor) management, improved quality, productivity, and savings through value based outsourcing—resulting in a higher ROI for Clinical Operations.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:
Vendor management, contract oversight and invoice reconciliation
Monitors operational data to ensure key performance indicators are met, including but not limited to compliance, quality, and cycle time
Facilitate valuable and effective communication between vendor partners and Humana business teams
Facilitate operational and vendor meetings to provide education, ensure compliance, and identify opportunities/needs for process changes or improvements
Handles day to day escalations, research issues or complaints and address with the vendor, as appropriate
Support and collaborate with Business Owners, Finance, Experience & Optimization, Workforce Management (WFM), Compliance and Humana leadership for matters that impact outsourced business functions
Ensure that all necessary application security approvals for system functionality are handled timely.
Utilizes Lean business principles to improve all operations, systems, and reports
Get into the data and support your team with actionable insights. Understand complex technical challenges and synthesize conversations for non-technical stakeholders.
Identify projects and process improvements to drive business forward and increase synergy between the business and vendor teams
Supports outsourcing implementations & onboarding efforts by partnering with business teams to develop process, training/curriculum, reporting, quality, and establishing KPI/SLAs metrics.
Holds vendor accountable for daily operational results, researches performance gaps, and assist with the development of corrective action plans from vendor
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
5+ years or more years of vendor management experience and/or process or project management experience
Vendor contracting and negotiations experience
Experience managing and facilitating vendor relationships and/or contracts
Demonstrated ability to define and track KPIs and/or service level agreement metrics and other measurable success criteria
Strong verbal and written communication skills (ability to interact effectively with people at all levels within a team or internal division)
Strong critical thinking, problem solving skills; detailed and well organized
Ability to break down complex problems into actionable steps
Strong critical thinking and problem solving skills
Demonstrates accuracy and thoroughness, identifies process improvements
Relationship management skills
Desired Qualifications
Master’s degree
Certification with Six Sigma and/or the Project Management Institute
Healthcare knowledge
Call Center experience
Vendor Management experience
Progressive Operational experience
Knowledge of Clinical Operations and Humana enterprise systems that support Authorization Intake, Utilization Management, and/or Care Management functions.

This position will require 5-15% travel (to include both international and/or domestic)
