Senior Java Back End Developer

On behalf of our client, a renown European institution, we are seeking a Senior Java Back End Developer to join their team in Budapest, Hungary.

As a Senior Java Back End Developer you will:

• Develop and maintain software applications and integration of technological components.
• Design, implement and do maintenance of multitier applications.
• Implement user requirements.
• Do Prototyping.
• Estimate the effort, costs, timescales and resource requirements for the successful completion of each service request in line with the agreed requirements.
• Write technical documentation architects.
• Consult studies on specific technical matters regarding information systems and IT processes.
• Prepare and validate quality plans for building and maintaining information systems.
• Analyze the business processes, user requirements, functional requirements and technical requirements of a software project.
• Design technical solutions for new information systems or for adaptations for existing information systems.
• Prepare Data analysis and modelling.
• Prepare Cost/benefit analysis in the area of information systems.
• Participate in meetings with stakeholders: users, project managers, etc.
• Define of practices and guidelines for development environment management.
• Produce regular or ad hoc activity reports and updated planning for future activities.
• Setup and maintain of development environments.

Requirements

• University degree (minimum 4 years post-secondary education or duly recognized as equivalent as per the Bologna process) in an ICT-related field.
• Minimum of 7 years in Software Development.
• Minimum of 4 years experience in Java, Elastic, Activity.
• In depth knowledge of application development environments.
• Good knowledge of the design and development of web and multitier applications.
• Good knowledge of business process analysis and of modelling tools (e.g. UML).
• Knowledge of software development methodologies.
• Good knowledge of automating deployment, scaling, testing and management of containerized applications (e.g. kubernetes).
• In-depth knowledge of Service Oriented Architecture and microservices.
• Good knowledge of behavior-driven development (BDD).
• Able to participate in multilingual meetings, a good communicator.
• Capable of integrating into an international/multicultural environment, rapid self-starting capability and experience in team work are mandatory.
• Capable of applying formal quality standards in the IT environment. Quality of IT projects.
• The incumbent of the position must be national of the country and speak the native language.
• Good level of English (independent user level B2 according to the Europass Language Passport).
