Digital Marketing Specialist
Role:
The Digital Marketing Specialist drives member engagement, product adoption, and growth for the credit union by managing digital marketing campaigns, customer workflows, email marketing, and website content. This role specializes in CRM automation, list management, member data management, and lead generation, while supporting new product initiatives such as new website features, credit card launches and graphic design projects. The specialist ensures marketing campaigns are data-driven, brand-compliant, and deliver measurable results.
Major Duties and Responsibilities:
• Serve as the primary digital specialist for campaign execution and optimization. Manage list segmentation and maintenance to ensure clean, targeted communications. Develop automated onboarding, nurture, and re-engagement campaigns that integrate with the credit union core system. Track, report, and analyze campaign performance to improve engagement, lead generation, and conversions. Stay current with HubSpot best practices and recommend platform enhancements.
• Design, test, and deploy email campaigns for members and prospects, including product promotions and special initiatives. Build, manage, and optimize email campaigns, workflows, landing pages, forms, and CTAs. Implement A/B testing for subject lines, messaging, and layout to improve performance. Ensure compliance with CAN-SPAM, GDPR, and credit union regulations.
• Manage and update website content via CMS to maintain accuracy, usability, and SEO performance. Create and optimize new product pages and landing pages for campaigns and
lead generation. Collaborate with IT/vendors to resolve technical issues and implement site enhancements. Monitor site performance, member behavior, and SEO, and recommend improvements.
• Produce creative assets for digital and print campaigns (ads, brochures, social graphics, presentations, signage). Ensure all assets align with brand guidelines and campaign objectives.
• Monitor KPIs for CRM campaigns, website performance, and email marketing. Provide monthly dashboards and insights with actionable recommendations for optimization.
• Must comply with all company policies and procedures, applicable laws, and regulations, including but not limited to, the Bank Secrecy Act, the Patriot Act, and the Office of Foreign Assets Control.
Knowledge and Skills:
Experience: Two – four years of digital marketing experience, ideally in financial services or regulated industries. Experience with CMS platforms (WordPress, Drupal, or similar). Experience coordinating marketing campaigns for financial products (credit cards, loans, deposit accounts) preferred.
Education/Certifications/Licenses: Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Advertising, Communications, or related field.
Interpersonal Skills: Ability to speak and effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of employees, customers and managers. Ability to provide constructive feedback to others.
Other Skills: Hands-on experience with HubSpot Marketing, including email automation, workflows, and list management. Knowledge of SEO, Google Analytics, and digital marketing best practices. Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite and/or Canva. Understanding of credit union core systems and member data integration a plus. Strong project management, organization, and communication skills.
