Director of Autism Solutions - Position Overview:

• The Director of Autism Services is responsible for all autism solutions offered by Canopy Children's Solutions throughout the state of Mississippi.
• The Director oversees the financial and clinical components of all autism solutions.
• The Director will seek funding opportunities, collaborate with Universities to establish training sites, and work to expand both direct and consultative services.
• The Director will directly supervise the Senior Behavior Analyst and school consultants.
• The Director will work with state and national organizations to further the knowledge of applied behavior analysis services and advocate for appropriate reimbursement of services from both public and private insurance companies.

Job Responsibilities:

Administrative

• Ability to work in a team and to formulate a strong case conceptualization
• Provide clinical and administrative supervision to direct reports keeping track of supervision through the use of supervisory logs
• Ability to evaluate staff on an annual basis and new staff at 90 days
• Oversees the fiscal operations of the autism clinics ensures the billing productivity is maximized
• Oversees the expansion of school consultation model both within the Canopy owned schools and other local school districts.
• Ensures that staff files incident reports, provides documentation of the reports to the Senior Director of Operations within 24 hours of occurrence
• Is accessible for staff/client emergencies
• Seeks out and manages grant funded and fund-raising opportunities for autism services
• Meets employee retention KPIs by maintain a healthy culture with staff and smart business functions

Performance Improvement

• Actively participates in the organization’s performance improvement activities to insure services of the highest quality.
• Develop action plans for improving service delivery

Knowledge and training

• Keep current in areas of child development, applied behavior analysis, and individual and family therapy

Communication

• Communicates staffing issues to the Senior Director of Operations in a timely manner
• Attends monthly or more frequent meetings with the Senior Director of Operations
• Attends Organization County and State meetings that may affect autism services
• Serves as the organization liaison with State licensing agencies

Other

• Completes other assigned tasks as required by the Senior Director of Operations, Chief Solutions Officer and/or Chief Executive Officer

Required Qualifications:

• Graduate degree in psychology or related field, doctoral degree preferred.
• A professional Mississippi License or license eligibility is required. 
• Advanced training and certification in behavior analysis with a minimum of five years’ experience, required.  
• A minimum of five years’ supervisory experience with a track record of managing a successful solution implementing operant methodology with children, adolescents and adults.
