Consulting Member Technical Staff (JoinOCI-SDE)

Within the OCI cloud compute organization, this team is responsible for the overall health and availability of compute services, ranging from cutting edge GPU clusters to storage and compute systems. This role will be involved in designing systems to monitor, triage and remediate issues in near real time across the entire cloud leveraging modern machine learning techniques. You will need to be involved in a wide range of technical topics from low level understanding of modern compute and GPU systems to high scale distributed systems.

Career Level - IC5

As a member of the software engineering division, you will take an active role in the definition and evolution of standard practices and procedures. Define specifications for significant new projects and specify, design and develop software according to those specifications. You will perform professional software development tasks associated with the developing, designing and debugging of software applications or operating systems.

 

Qualifications:

• Familiarity with cloud computing concepts including virtual machines, containers and GPU clusters.
• Familiarity with OS level concepts.
• Knowledge of machine learning systems design and architecture including model build and training systems
• 10+ years experience delivering and operating large scale, highly available distributed systems.
• Strong knowledge of Java and experience with scripting languages such as Python, Perl, etc.
• Strong knowledge of data structures and algorithms
• Strong understanding of databases, NoSQL systems, storage and distributed persistence

 

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience leading architecture and design of distributed systems within large scale environments
• Experience building and running high scale distributed systems in production.
• Knowledge of machine learning systems design and architecture including model build and training systems

US: Hiring Range in USD from: $96,800 to $251,600 per annum. May be eligible for bonus, equity, and compensation deferral.
