Read on, this may be the ideal role for you. </p><p><strong>Your new team</strong></p><p>As our new <strong>Senior Geotechnical Engineer, </strong>you will be joining a world leader in offshore wind with a unique value proposition. With international, multidisciplinary and wind energy specific competencies, we have been involved in more than 70% of all operating offshore wind farms globally, offering a full range of services throughout all project phases. We support a global client network in identifying, evaluating, and quantifying both risks and opportunities, allowing them to make informed strategic decisions based on our experience and world-class engineering know-how.</p><p>Today there are over 500 highly qualified Ramboll experts working on onshore and offshore wind projects globally, operating from a strategic network of offices across the Nordics, Germany, UK, Poland, Spain, Japan, the Netherlands, Korea, Australia, and the US.</p><p><strong>Your key tasks and responsibilities</strong></p><p>As part of a multidisciplinary project team, you will take on diverse tasks and responsibilities in international projects of varied complexity and scale, such as:</p><ul><li>Providing specialist technical expertise to our project teams as discipline lead for floating and bottom-fixed structures.</li><li>Carrying out geotechnical site assessments and feeding into foundation design.</li><li>Geotechnical design for offshore support structures, including numerical modelling.</li><li>Planning, management and interpretation of offshore geotechnical site surveys.</li><li>Documenting project results as well as attending and conducting project meetings with clients.</li><li>Coordination of project development in the bid and execution phases.</li><li>Management of the geotechnical discipline within projects.</li><li>Contribution to technical development of solutions.</li><li>Cooperating with international colleagues, providing technical support and knowledge sharing.</li></ul><p><strong> About you</strong></p><p>From the moment you start at Ramboll, we will support your personal and professional development so that you can continue to grow with the company. Whilst we look forward to supporting your continued learning and development, for this role we have identified some qualifications, skills, and capabilities that will set you up for success.</p><ul><li>A Master’s degree or PhD in Civil Engineering, preferably with a focus on geotechnical engineering,</li><li>Significant and measurable experience in geotechnical engineering, wind energy and/or numerical modelling and seismic design</li><li>Experience working in the offshore wind or oil and gas industry, or other related sectors.</li><li>Practical experience in 3D FE modelling with PLAXIS</li><li>Programming skills preferably in Matlab or Python.</li><li>Evidence of working independently and on your own initiative, but also working collaboratively in a team environment.</li><li>Communication skills that promote strong relationships and trust within the team and with clients, fostering a collaborative and enjoyable work environment.</li><li>A reliable, solution-oriented, and systematic approach to working, especially when dealing with project or technical related challenges.</li><li>Talent and experience in leading project teams and coordinating work tasks.</li><li>Fluency in both written and spoken English when interfacing with various disciplines and stakeholders, both in person and virtually</li></ul><p>As a diverse and inclusive company, Ramboll acknowledges that an ambitious, positive, and enthusiastic attitude is one of the key drivers to success.
