Project Manager

We currently have a vacancy for a Project Manager fluent in English, to offer his/her services as an expert who will be based in The Hague, the Netherlands. The work will be carried out either on the company’s premises or on-site at customer premises. In the context of the first assignment, the successful candidate will be integrated and closely cooperate with a major client’s IT team, on-site.

Your tasks:

• Coordinating the execution of the projects in accordance with client’s project governance standards and project management methodology;
• Managing the governance through regular project meetings, checkpoints and boards of assigned projects, keeping stakeholders informed with up-to-date information at all times and ensuring appropriate decision making;
• Ensuring that all relevant project management documentation, including a realistic plan agreed among all stakeholders, is in place in the Project management system;
• Managing the implementation of information systems to meet identified business needs, acquiring and utilising the necessary resources and skills, within agreed parameters of cost, timescales, and quality;
• Coordinating the production and approval of project deliverables by the services, at the specified quality level and in accordance with the project implementation plan;
• Managing the required change and approval processes including the security accreditation process;
• Identifying and proactively addressing all dependencies, issues and risks affecting the project;
• Keeping overview and control of the budget and resources available to the project and undertake the necessary steps to correct deviations either through the financial procedures or through resource management processes, this includes timely and up-to-date including reporting;
• Interacting with stakeholders and coordinating the different project work streams and manage dependencies;
• Supervising the delivery of products and services by external suppliers in accordance with the contracts in place as well as estimating costs, timescales and resource requirements for yearly demand cycle.

Requirements

• University degree in IT combined with more than 9 years of experience in ICT Project Management of projects comprising a mix if ICT deliveries (software, hardware, network, innovation);
• A minimum of 6 years of experience in PM tasks covering the production and distribution of project support documentation such as plans and reports as well as initiatives to improve collaboration across departments on project related issues and disseminating project information (reporting) to project stakeholders;
• A minimum of 6 years of experience working in international environments with international customers and leading multi-functional teams in an Agile development environment;
• Participation in a minimum of 2 projects for each of the following areas: ICT (software and hardware) and Network/Telecom;
• Participation in a minimum of 1 ICT Research and Innovation related project;
• Good knowledge of latest software development processes, including agile, from the perspective of a Project Manager as well as the latest hardware/software technologies including Cloud and Networks;
• Good knowledge of Project Set-up, Execution and Control, including start-up workshops, plan development, change management, impact analyses, managing outcomes and benefits;
• Good knowledge of Scope, Schedule, Quality, Resource, and Communication Management as well as management of Risks, Issues, Assumptions, Dependencies, and Constraints using logs and/or other tools;
• Good knowledge of project integration, stakeholders management, together with the production and distribution of project support documentation such as plans and reports;
• PM Certification, such as PMP, PRINCE2, or similar;
• Excellent command of the English language.
