About the role

The Opportunity:

Location: Malvern, PA 19355

Schedule: 1st Shift/ M-F 7am - 3:30pm

Pay: 26.92hr

What we’re looking for 

·       Education: BS Degree in Science preferred or BA

·       Experience: 1-year experience working within a laboratory setting, strong process optimization skills and scientific trouble shooting skills, fully computer literate and competent with all office applications, strong verbal and written skills, highly motivated, enthusiastic, hands on, organized with strong ability to manage competing priorities in a dynamic environment.

·       Collaboration Tool: Knowledge of Information intermediate computer skills including Microsoft Office with proficiency in Word and Excel.

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • Conform to all customer requirements for background checks, health and safety issues, security clearances and medical check-ups.

  • Requires knowledge in using various instruments to prepare for and perform tests

  • Strong communication skills

  • Excellent Customer Service Skills; display a professional can-do attitude

  • Perform duties with the highest regard for safety and quality

  • Ability to understand and follow site protocols, policies and procedures.

  • Must be flexible, forward- thinking, motivated, and have the ability to act independently.

  • Must be able to lift up to 50lbs minimum

  • Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines

  • Knowledge of Avantor’s products and services

Avantor’s Lab and Production Services team is a crucial part of the Avantor Services group serving over 500 customers in biopharma, pharmaceutical, educational, industrial, and high-tech industries with customizable, flexible solutions and end-to-end laboratory operations support. In this role you will:

Facilities and Laboratory Operations:

  • Equipment Upkeep - Arrange lab equipment preventative maintenance (PM) maintain PM tracking software. Perform routine maintenance on refrigeration.

  • Common Equipment Training - Provide basic operating training on common laboratory equipment. Assist with equipment troubleshooting, and supplemental resources. Assist in writing Work Instructions for equipment based on manuals/documentation provided by the manufacturer.
