Pressroom Team Lead- 1st shift

Position Purpose:

Assists in overseeing the stamping operation.

Base Hourly Rate: $24.35

Essential Functions:

• Train new operators
• Set up the pressroom for daily production
• Perform routine quality checks
• Make minor repairs to the machines
• Must be able to troubleshoot and perform preventative maintenance on the presses
• Fill in on the press operations if necessary
• Always keeps work area clean
• Works in a safe manor always
• Load steel into the Un-coilers
• Unload steel trucks
• Drive forklift
• Other job duties may be assigned by supervisor

Education and Training:

       High School Diploma or GED

 

 

 

Minimum Qualifications:

• Good verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to read blueprints
• Must be able to use measuring equipment
• Must be able to work independently
• Ability to work well with others

Physical Demands:

• Must be able to lift 25lbs
• Must be able stand continuously for 8 hrs – 12 hours
• Must be able to bend and twist
• Strength and manual dexterity sufficient to operate tools to make repairs
• Good physical condition to lift 20 pounds repetitively
• Ability to lift 50 pounds
• Good eye/hand coordination and good motor skills
• Demonstrates dependability and adherence to all safety rules and regulations
• Ability to work in tight places
• Good hand/eye coordination and good motor skills

Environmental Conditions:

• Ear and Eye protection always required in production areas
• Exposure to noisy work environment
• Exposure to fumes
• Exposure to hot and humid conditions
• Exposure to dust
• Exposure to coolants, oils, grease and water.
• Steel toe boots with metatarsal guards are always required
