- NORC Field Data Collectors, internally known as field interviewers, play a significant role in collecting the data that drives our research.

**This position requires an individual who is Spanish-language proficient at a conversational level.**
- Ability to speak, read, and write in Spanish and English.
- Available to work a flexible, part-time schedule. Our most successful interviewers typically dedicate 4-6 hours a day to working on their assignments.
- Self-starter who can manage, organize, and commit to their own work schedule.
- Enjoys meeting new people from diverse backgrounds and professions.
- Has field interviewing, sales, hospitality, marketing, financial, real estate, tax preparation, teaching, or customer service experience.
- Ability to speak, read, and write in Spanish and English.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- High School Diploma or GED Preferred.
- Willing to work a flexible schedule of 15 – 25 hours per week.
- Must be comfortable contacting people in-person at their homes, often without notice. Flexible availability to work a mix of weekdays, and evenings/weekends often to reach people who are not home during the work week.
- Must reside within 100 miles of the location displayed in this job posting.
- Must be able to use a NORC-provided tablet and applications for tasks such as sending emails and capturing notes about work completed.
- Must attend all virtual and in-person training sessions.
- Have ability to travel for 3 day in-person training sessions located in Greater Chicago, NYC, or Los Angeles area.
- All employees hired for this position must present evidence of their identity and authorization to work in the United States (I-9 documentation).

This position is classified as intermittent. The pay range for this position will be $19.00 – $28.41 per hour with additional bilingual bonus pay of $1.00 for each hour worked after certification is completed; base pay is based on experience and geographic location.
- Field Interviewers working on the 2025 SCF project are eligible to earn an additional $50 - $100 biweekly, if required training and performance standards are met and maintained.
- NORC will contribute to an individually owned, fully vested retirement account with TIAA at a rate of $4.93 for each hour worked, and contributions will be made on a quarterly basis.
- The pay range for field interviewers in New York is $19.00- $31.42 per hour. The starting rate for field interviewers in New York is $19.00 per hour.
- Intermittent staff are eligible to make pre-tax or post-tax contributions as part of NORC’s Supplemental Retirement Plan.
