Summary Description:
The Director of Systems Architecture is responsible for the delivery of all enterprise applications solutions, including SAP and related third party enterprise applications. This position leads a team of highly effective leaders, cross functional architects and analysts to provide optimal systems through strategic design as well as daily operational support. This Director position is responsible for making discernment of priorities, being the change agent for transformation, and developing high performing teams. The candidate will have strong business acumen, and subject matter expertise in a diverse set of business functions such as product development, manufacturing, supply chain, warehouse, logistics & transportation, HR, sales, finance, and other corporate functions. Additionally, they will be adept in new technologies as well as industry and systems best practices. This position plans, defines, and develops SAP systems strategies and standards and coordinates, manages, and reviews the work of assigned SAP analyst and architect teams.
Essential Job Functions:
- Complete ownership of all people leadership within Enterprise Applications Functional team including recruitment, management of all employer sponsor related activity, coaching, leadership development, succession planning, and workforce engagement.
- Responsible for the integrity and efficiency of all enterprise systems, ensuring sound design is delivered and best practices are achieved to provide a stable and operational suite of enterprise applications
- Effectively manage all enterprise applications’ vendor relationships, identification, evaluations, contracting, quarterly reviews, license and SLA management.
- Responsible for the optimization of cloud resources and spend via design and monitoring
- Partner with business stakeholders and the PMO Director to influence and execute the project portfolio, delivering maximum value to the business while also committed to executing the systems strategy
- Deliver a coordinated and cohesive enterprise applications systems architecture strategy through architect owned strategic roadmaps
- Full ownership of system architecture across all systems and products; understand business drivers and business capabilities (current and future state) and determine corresponding ERP solution architecture design and change requirements to drive targeted business outcomes.
- Provide subject matter expertise and leading edge-thinking on trends, methodologies, tools, and techniques
- Deliver a complete documentation library supporting the delivery of all enterprise applications to include configuration, functional, technical, process design, testing and other related documentation
- Leads the development of ERP governance structure in support of the business and information technology strategies.
- Manage all change occurring in enterprise applications through design review process, change activities control and production support monitoring
- Deliver maximum system uptime by minimizing production issues and coordinating systems outages
- Own the ongoing development and deployment of the Enterprise Applications roadmap based on business needs and emerging technology.
- Ensure compliance with all ITGCs in every area of responsibility
Skills/Qualifications:
- Strategic thought leadership with a strong understanding of cross-functional business processes in a global organization.
- Strong operational management experience in all aspects a large enterprise application team.
- Strong techno-functional knowledge of SAP applications (e.g., FICO, HANA, SD, MM, PP, PM, WM, Solution Manager, ABAP, BW, EDI, etc).
- Experience with AWS
