Job Description
AECOM is actively seeking a dynamic and highly talented Environmental Remediation Senior Team Leader to join our team in Houston, Texas. The Senior Team Leader will work directly with multiple Oil, Gas & Chemical department managers to continuously improve program delivery excellence and achieve strategic objectives on major accounts.
This is a hybrid (office and remote) role, that has both internal and external-facing responsibilities, with opportunity to apply and further develop multi-faceted programmatic managerial and client development skills. You will have the opportunity to apply your expertise in program management, project management, and technical roles.
Key Responsibilities:
Leadership and People Management:
- Manage an estimated 8-10 local and regional staff within departments of approximately 40 staff across multiple offices and states.
- Participate in feedback for Project Managers and technical staff to ensure client satisfaction and long-term growth.
- Ensure technical project delivery staff are trained and mentored for career development.
- Coach project managers and team leaders on business performance and KPIs, implementing processes to exceed metrics.
- Evaluate and manage the performance of direct reports and other team members.
- Mentor and support department members, enhancing coordination and identifying future leaders.
- Act as a focal point for issue resolution and provide rapid follow-up to address concerns.
- Optimize regional staff resourcing across departments to achieve strategic objectives.
Program and Project Delivery Excellence:
- Drive team and department performance to meet/exceed client satisfaction and internal KPIs (Net Service Revenue, margin goals, unbilled, accounts receivable, days sales outstanding).
- Formulate solutions to client issues and act as a point of escalation for project problems.
- Manage high-profile projects in a billable function and participate in project reviews to improve performance.
- Champion consistent project management practices in alignment with AECOM Project Delivery System (PDS) and Quality Management System (QMS) requirements.
- Interact with department managers and business leadership on governance and risk issues, ensuring compliance with the Delegation of Authority (DOA) framework.
- Support the Practice digital strategy, driving the adoption of digital solutions.
- Integrate international Enterprise Capabilities (EC) technical and administrative support resources into project delivery.
- Ensure accuracy of Workload Planning Tool data, Salesforce pipeline data, and other forecast data.
Business Development:
- Collaborate with Department Managers, Client Account Managers (CAMs), Practice Leaders, and Business Line Leadership to grow a profitable backlog and ensure financial success.
- Contribute to implementation of the Departmental Tactical Growth Plans, aligning with business line strategy and strategic growth initiatives.
- Serve as a primary client contact, maintaining deep client relationships and supporting team members in their client interactions.
- Support initiatives to diversify client portfolio by targeting new sectors, geographies, and project types that align with AECOM's growth strategy.
- Collaborate with CAMs to strengthen existing client relationships, focusing on retention strategies and expanding the scope of services provided to key clients.

Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field and (8+) Eight years of relevant oil and gas/remediation experience and/or demonstrated equivalency of experience and or education
