About the role

Qualifications

  • Prior cleaning, supervisory, or healthcare experience is highly preferred.
  • Previous experience managing direct reports and performance management is strongly preferred, as this role oversees 40–45 direct reports.
  • General cleaning certification is preferred or must be obtained within one year of hire.

 

Position Summary

This position supports the Manager in planning, coordinating, and supervising Environmental Services operations across the hospital, clinics, support service buildings, and surrounding grounds. The role is responsible for overseeing training programs, conference room setup, moving services, and laundry operations. The position ensures compliance with all applicable local, state, and federal regulations and supervises cleaning operations to ensure quality, safety, and effectiveness.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist the Manager in the overall planning, coordination, and supervision of Environmental Services operations.
  • Supervise staff training programs, conference room setup, moving services, and laundry services.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, including JC, HFAP, ISDH, OSHA, and other applicable agencies.
  • Oversee cleaning activities to ensure high standards of quality, efficiency, and effectiveness.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and operational efficiency.
  • Track performance metrics and support goal achievement within assigned areas.
