Job Description

The Senior Manager, Business Operations will be part of the Content Distribution Business Operations team.  The Business Ops team is tasked with leading the department’s live, on-demand content experience across all platforms and working with internal stakeholders (e.g networks, marketing, sales).  This role will oversee and manage workflows from end-to-end, focus on data driven analysis for upstream workflow and in-market improvements, and serve as lead subject matter expert (SME).  The Sr. Manager will work towards meeting department main business objectives of safeguarding contractual and entitlement requirements, driving innovation to build efficient and scalable workflows, and maximizing content and monetization opportunities.


Responsibilities

  • Oversee content distribution that lands at (v)MVPD and FAST distributors’ platforms, and workflows that manage viewer access
  • Monitor market trends for workflow, platform experience, innovation to identify strategic opportunities to grow our business 
  • Create and maintain strategic roadmap and partner with various internal & external stakeholders to execute
  • Partner with internal (e.g. marketing) and external stakeholders (e.g. distributors) on key initiatives to enhance viewer experience and discoverability
  • Partner with end platform owners on UX and UI opportunities to grow ops efficiencies and content discoverability
  • Grow partnerships and platform expertise for (v)MVPDs & FAST distributors to establish SME status
  • Emphasize data driven analysis to recognize strategic upstream workflow & in-market platform improvements
  • Regular review of existing KPIs and industry trends to determine most impactful metrics to leverage
  • Support existing and new product development efforts. Prioritize business requirements, and provide leadership and oversight for development team, status and updates to Business Partners     
  • Partner with internal technology stakeholders on process improvement, workflow development and enterprise solutions
  • Owns clarification, rationalization and documentation of in-market CD products.
  • Serve as lead and escalation between business and technology teams to ensure business needs are understood, planned accordingly, and executed.
  • Translate business drivers to process and/or technical requirements, and manage business initiative planning, testing and execution.
  • Attract, coach, and retain high-performance team members; empowering them to grow their skills set and continue their career development

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in supply chain management, business management or industrial engineering or equivalent work experience.  MBA a plus.
  • 5+ years of supply chain, project management, or product management experience
  • Motivated self-starter who succeeds in independent and collaborative responsibilities
  • Problem solver who is adaptable and can evolve their thinking as changes occur in the industry to drive business changes
  • Data driven individual who can identify and drive objective opportunities
  • Process driven individual who can identify enterprise solutions for inefficient or ineffective areas
  • Ability to translate business process needs into clear product requirements
  • Strong verbal, writing, and presentation skills
  • Experience in process improvement with results
  • Experience in defining user requirements<
