ABOUT THE ROLE:

As a Mechanical Design Intern, you’ll gain hands-on experience supporting the design and development needs of our clients while working alongside experienced engineers and designers. You’ll strengthen your skills in CAD modeling, design documentation, cross-disciplinary collaboration, and the product development process, gaining insight into how innovative concepts move from early design through prototyping and implementation. This internship is designed to provide meaningful learning opportunities—helping you build technical skills, contribute to real projects, and develop professional relationships within a collaborative engineering environment.
TRAVEL EXPECTATIONS:
Travel between Teague’s office locations within the greater Seattle and Everett area, as needed.
WHO YOU ARE:
You are curious, motivated, and excited to learn how innovative aerospace products come to life—from early concept through prototyping and testing. You enjoy working in collaborative, cross-functional environments and are eager to partner with Industrial Design, Technical Build, and Visualization teams to understand how different disciplines contribute to successful program delivery. You bring a strong attention to detail, a willingness to ask questions, and a proactive mindset as you support design documentation, CAD modeling, and prototype preparation. You are passionate about developing your technical skills, particularly in 3D CAD and mechanical design, and are interested in understanding how engineering decisions impact performance, manufacturability, cost, and certification requirements. Most importantly, you are a team-oriented learner who takes pride in staying organized, contributing to a positive and detail-driven environment, and continuously growing your practical engineering and design capabilities while supporting the development of future aerospace products.
WHAT YOU’LL DO:
- OWNING
- Assist in evaluating basic structural considerations, material options, and manufacturing approaches as part of the design process.
- Support the preparation of design documentation, presentations, and technical reports.
- Contribute to a positive, detail-oriented team environment while developing practical engineering and design skills.
- Maintain organized files and design records in accordance with company data management practices.
