Accounts Payable Specialist

Key Responsibilities:

• Process invoices, verify accuracy, and match with purchase orders and receipts.
• Maintain accurate records of payables in accounting software.
• Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies promptly.
• Process vendor payments, including checks, ACH, and wire transfers.
• Coordinate with various departments to ensure proper coding and approval of expenses.
• Support the monthly, quarterly, and year-end closing processes.
• Assist in preparing financial reports related to accounts payable activities.
• Communicate with vendors and internal teams to resolve issues or inquiries.
• Maintain compliance with company policies and procedures.
• Assist with special projects as needed.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent (associate or bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance preferred).
• 2+ years of experience in Accounts Payable or a similar accounting role.
• Proficiency in accounting software (experience with QuickBooks or other ERP systems preferred).
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong problem-solving abilities and a high level of accuracy.
