About the role

RH is seeking a strategic and detail-oriented Director of Quality to support our Baby & Child, Teen and Core Rugs categories. You will be responsible for leading and implementing quality strategies across the full product lifecycle, from development through production and post-market, ensuring that all products meet RH’s uncompromising standards for safety, quality, and craftsmanship. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of luxury goods, child safety compliance, and a passion for building trust with our most discerning customers through product excellence.

YOUR RESPONSABILITIES

  • Develop and execute quality assurance strategies specific to the Baby & Child and Teen categories
  • Define quality metrics and lead initiatives to track, report, and improve performance across product lines.
  • Ensure compliance with RH brand standards, safety regulations, and third-party testing requirements
  • Collaborate with Design, Product Development, and Sourcing to proactively identify and mitigate quality risks during the development phase
  • Lead the quality evaluation process, including pre-production inspections, in-line audits, and final product reviews
  • Oversee corrective actions, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement programs.
  • Partner with global vendors and factories to uphold RH’s quality expectations and safety protocols
  • Lead vendor partner assessments, quality audits, and capability building to ensure consistent product execution
  • Support the onboarding of new suppliers with rigorous quality training and alignment.
  • Analyze customer feedback, returns data, and safety concerns to identify trends and implement corrective measures
  • Act as a liaison between Quality and Customer Experience teams to address product-related issues promptly and effectively

OUR REQUIREMENTS 

  • 10+ years of progressive experience in quality assurance, including leadership roles in consumer goods or home furnishings; experience with children's products highly preferred.
  • Deep knowledge of U.S. and international child safety standards and regulatory requirements (e.g., CPSC, ASTM, CPSIA).
  • Proven ability to lead cross-functional initiatives and manage vendor quality in a global supply chain.
  • Strong knowledge of materials, construction methods, testing protocols, and compliance documentation.
  • Exceptional communication, analytical, and organizational skills.
  • Passion for luxury design, product excellence, and customer satisfaction

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS 

  • Lift and handle product samples (up to 25 lbs) and perform hands-on product evaluations
  • Comfortable in both office and manufacturing environments, including extended periods of standing or inspecting
  • Fine visual acuity and manual dexterity required for detailed inspections and safety assessments
