Job Description
The Project Manager (Tour Operator) will drive tour operator product category sales on lastminute.de, and weg.de websites, through market-leading product/content optimisation, and promotions.
Focusing on destination-level performance, content analysis, and improving user experience and product offering on our websites, with full responsibility for hitting financial targets for the category.
Key Responsibilities
- Own P&L of the tour operator business. Monitor, analyse and report KPIs and performances.
- Work closely with the commercial team on content and supply to ensure access to all market fares. Agree focus and strategy on tour operators and hotels, where we have commercial and override agreements to achieve.
- Own and drive the sales calendar for promotional activities, providing visibility to wider teams and key stakeholders and agree necessary support for all the planned activities
- Define commercial strategies (incl. vouchers) for promotions and campaigns.
- In-depth analysis of performance by destination/hotel/ airline etc. to make best decisions on strategy we need to apply/follow to drive category performance and make informed decisions on product gaps and opportunities for growth
- Drive tour operator sales on weg.de and lastminute.de websites and telesales, with close collaboration with marketing team for onsite merchandising, SEO, SEM, affiliates, CRM and digital acquisition channels and with Customer Karma on Telesales.
- Involvement in product and booking path development and testing. Playing pivotal role in understanding the customer behavior and prioritizing business needs
- Monitor competitor activities and highlight any product/features, content and pricing gaps/opportunities.
- Collate, analyze and interpret financial, sales and market information, and provide meaningful commentary and recommendations for senior leadership team
- Act as a key contact for customer service and operations teams for tour operator related queries and customer feedback, to allow us to improve our processes and customer focus.
Qualifications
Essential
- Industry knowledge and understanding of the OTA business
- Excellent Microsoft Excel, numerical and analytical skills
- Attention to detail, proactive team player
- German speaker, proficiency in English speaking and writing
- Knowledge of Amadeus Admin Tool and Bistro is a plus
