Northrop Grumman Defense Systems is seeking a RAM Systems Engineer / Principal Systems Engineer for Modeling and Simulation. This position is located in Roy, UT (or Huntsville, AL) and supports the Sentinel program.

What You’ll Get To Do:
The selected candidate will join a team modeling high level Reliability, Availability, Maintainability, Cost (RAM-C) processes across multiple campuses. This role will involve Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM) modeling and strategy selection for a large missile system. The RCM team focuses on using failure modes to model potential maintenance strategies and select the best strategy for the overall weapon system. An ideal candidate will have experience modeling large systems of systems and experience finding useful data and trends in large data sets. A candidate with maintenance or logistical background will be able to more easily communicate with stakeholders.
Responsibilities includes but not limited to:
- Analyze Failure Modes, Effects, and Criticality Analysis (FMECA)
- Interpolate model data to reach data informed conclusions
- Form and evaluate Ground Rules and Assumptions (GR&A) of system models
- Manage cross-IPT shareholders and communicate technical information to non-technical audiences
- Selected candidate must be able to support program tasks in a secure lab environment (on site) a for a minimum of 90% of their total work time
Basic Qualifications:
This requisition may be filled at either the Systems Engineer level (T-02) or Principal Systems Engineer level (T-03).
Engineer Systems: Bachelor's degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) discipline from an accredited university and 2 years of experience, 0 years of experience with a Master's degree. An additional 4 years of experience can be considered ‘in lieu of’ a degree
Principal Engineer Systems: Bachelor's degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) discipline from an accredited university and 5 years of experience, or 3 years of experience with a Master's degree. An additional 4 years of experience can be considered ‘in lieu of’ a degree
Required for Both Levels:
- Must be a US Citizen with an active DoD Secret Clearance, at time of application, current and within scope, with an investigation date within the last 6 years
- Must have the ability to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) approval within a reasonable period of time, as determined by the company to meet its business need
Preferred Qualifications:
- Active Top Secret Clearance
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline
- Experience with ReliaSoft Software
- Experience with Agile Release Train (ART) or Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe)
