AESC US is currently seeking a dynamic individual to fill an opening for a Regional Accounting Manager supporting our electric vehicle battery plants.

JOB TITLE: REGIONAL ACCOUNTING MANAGER  

YOUR MISSION:
  
 
As the Accounting Manager you will oversee and manage the financial operations for our new Bowling Green and South Carolina plants. This role will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring compliance with accounting principles and regulations, and managing a team of accounting professionals. The Accounting Manager will collaborate with cross-functional teams to support strategic decision-making and financial planning.

A DAY IN THE LIFE:

  • Responsible for preparing and recording journal entries and related records as well as account reconciliations.
  • Responsible for AR and AP process, including managing and monitoring timely invoice submission and payments and supplier/vendor statement reconciliations 
  • Responsible for annual, quarterly, and monthly close.
  • Review and analyze financial statements, balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements to provide insights to senior management.
  • Provide financial analysis, insights, and recommendations to support regional and corporate decision-making.
  • Perform reporting and analysis of results, forecast and business plan to include data mining; investigating discrepancies, exceptions, adhoc analysis of large complex data sets, modeling and preparation of presentation material as it pertains to General Accounting.
  • Monitor revenue, expenses, and profit margins for the region(s) and address any discrepancies or trends.
  • Cooperates with internal and external auditors to audit accounting procedures and reports.
  • Plans and coordinates organizational activities, establishing priorities to meet the designated deadlines, goals and objectives.
  • Collaborate with regional stakeholders to develop and manage budgets for the designated region(s).
  • Assist in financial forecasting and variance analysis to identify areas for improvement and support strategic planning
  • Ad hoc activities as needed

MUST-HAVES:

  • Four-year college degree in a business, management, finance, or accounting related field or relevant accounting education. CPA or MBA preferred.
  • Proven experience (typically 5+ years) in accounting, with progressive responsibility and leadership roles
  • Must be a self starter
  • Extensive knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and other relevant accounting standards.
  • Preferred management skills and abilities to supervise levels up to and including supervisors.
  • Preferred Accounting, consolidation and reporting experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
  • Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy in financial reporting.
  • Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with discretion.
  • Willingness to travel within the designated region(s) as needed.
