We are looking to hire a Manager, Copywriter. This position is for a Manager, Copywriter who is responsible for managing our team of copywriters and delivering copy that creatively communicates key brand pillars and promise for Princess Cruises. This position is our brand storyteller. Candidate will also work with marketing team members, upholding brand guidelines while asking the right questions and turning the answers into copy that resonates with the Princess audience. The Manager, copywriter will be a team player who can take direction from multiple sources, collaborate with designers and ultimately distill complex ideas into approachable and intriguing content. This role requires understanding of messaging hierarchies, where a piece sits in the customer funnel, and what information customers want and need. The person in this role is tasked to deliver great work on tight deadlines and bring a passion for travel into writing that connects our audience with the best destinations in the world.

 

Here’s a summary of what Princess is looking for in a Manager, Copywriter.  Is this you? 

 

Responsibilities: 

  • Manage our internal team of copywriters and set the tone for our copy within the organization and outside agencies. Lead creative brainstorms for creative projects

  • Write compelling copy for digital media (emails, eflyers, social posts, video scripts). Work with internal designers on print work (direct mail, ads, brochures) that breaks through the clutter. Must thrive at writing punchy headlines and body copy that paints a picture (and sells a product).

  • Create copy for sales team supporting our travel advisor's support materials (ads, flyers, emails, banners) that is on brand and also works for various third parties driving sales. Write keynote presentations for our SVP of Sales.  Write onboard marketing copy material (digital signage, terminal signage, collateral) that conveys the brand voice and enhances the guest experience in a premium tone.

  • Create copy for sales team supporting our travel advisor's support materials (ads, flyers, emails, banners) that is on brand and also works for various third parties driving sales. Write keynote presentations for our SVP of Sales.

  • Contribute to casino branding and copy efforts, writing emails and direct mail.

 

Knowledge & Skills:

  • Scope: Oversees end-to-end quality assurance across ecommerce platforms, including web, mobile, APIs, and backend systems.  Defines testing strategies for new features, integrations, and releases across multiple teams and geographies. Ensures quality across customer journeys, payment systems, inventory, and third-party integrations.

  • Problem-solving: Identifies root causes of defects through data analysis, logs, and cross-functional collaboration. Resolves bottlenecks in test automation pipelines and CI/CD workflows. Develops scalable solutions for flaky tests, environment instability, and regression failures.

  • Impact: Improves release velocity and reduces post-release defects by implementing robust test automation.  Enhances customer experience by ensuring seamless checkout, search, and personalization features. Drives measurable improvements in test coverage, defect leakage, and QA cycle time.

  • Leadership:  Manages and mentors QA engineers across manual and automated testing domains. Champions quality culture across engineering, product, and business teams. Leads test strategy reviews, defect triage meetings, and sprint planning sessions.

 

Requirements: 

  • BA degree in English, journalism, marketing or similar. At least 8-10 years’ experience in agency or in-house marketing department managing a creative team.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Suite
