Longevity Program Medical Director-IM or FM Physician

Mayo Clinic in Jacksonville, Florida is seeking a Medical Director for a new Longevity Section within our Division of General Internal Medicine.  This position will report to the Chair of General Internal Medicine and be part of Division’s Executive Committee representing the Longevity Program. 

This is a unique opportunity for a transformative leader to develop a new specialty practice.  The Medical Director will lead efforts to grow the longevity program, expanding longevity medicine for patients, as well as coordinating with colleagues across the institution. This role requires a proactive and dynamic individual who can effectively communicate the value of our clinical services, foster patient relationships, and contribute to the strategic growth of our organization.  

The ideal candidate will have excellent skills to support Practice, Education, and Research. We are looking for a candidate with:

• Strong clinical acumen
• Demonstrated ability to set a clear vision and plan strategically for growth to manage and expand a diverse clinical and academic practice
• An established track record of innovation and program development 
• Authorship of peer-reviewed publications
• Recognition and respect from regional and national peers

This initiative is one of many in the Division designed to continue to expand its mission and operations throughout the Mayo Clinic enterprise.

 

MD, MD/PhD, DO, or equivalent.  

Board Certified in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine, with Fellowship training in Integrative and/or Functional Medicine

Must be able to obtain an unrestricted Florida medical license.
