Read on because we have an opportunity for you!</em></strong></p><h3>Job Description</h3><p>We are now looking for a <strong>Senior Server Programmer</strong> to join our team to work on our newly announced <a href="https://www.ubisoft.com/en-gb/game/gwens-getaway">Gwen’s Getaway</a>. In this position you will be responsible for a range of development duties, such as working on backend services and server features, as well as developing our LiveOps and admin tools. You will get to work with our talented team of programmers and will have a global network of thousands of skilled developers around you, all contributing to creating incredible games as part of the Ubisoft network.</p><p>We hope that you bring with you the experience and confidence to collaborate efficiently with different stakeholders, you’re someone who can drive tasks from conception to completion and enjoy an iterative development style. Like us, we hope that you’re someone who loves playing and making games!</p><p><strong>Responsibilities in this role</strong></p><ul><li>Designing, implementing and maintaining backend services and RESTful API's, for both game client and server-to-server</li><li>Developing and maintaining core features for our web tools to support the live phase of the game</li><li>Contributing to an ever-growing development culture, improving processes and best practices</li></ul><h3>Qualifications</h3><p><strong>Your skills and experience</strong></p><ul><li>Proficiency in Golang, bonus also if you have experience in React, Python or C#</li><li>Excellent skills in database architecture (MySQL, MongoDB)</li><li>Understanding of container tech and cloud-based services (Kubernetes, Google Cloud platform)</li><li>Familiarity with GitLab pipelines, knowing how to facilitate safe and controlled deployment of services </li><li>Familiarity with visualization and metrics gathering tools and dashboards (e.g. Grafana)</li><li>General experienced programmer skills: debugging problems effectively, writing high-quality readable code, ability to design sustainable and scalable systems.</li></ul><p> </p><h3>Additional Information</h3><p><strong>We offer:</strong></p><ul><li>An open, international, and massively friendly work environment full of ambitious and skilled people</li><li>Lots of challenges and opportunities to develop yourself and have an impact on your work</li><li>Good work/life balance: We take our work very seriously, but we also respect and value our employees’ personal lives.
