SUMMARY
Mortenson seeks an experienced Electrical Project Manager I to lead projects with flexibility, resourcefulness, and professionalism. Responsibilities include anticipating and solving problems, managing project quality, timeliness, safety, and mentoring the project team. Excellent written and verbal communication skills and attention to detail are essential. Develop and enhance customer relationships by providing exceptional service.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Manage overall financial health of projects
Develop and maintain project financial and equipment projections
Allocate project estimate into financial system and determine cost codes
Approve invoices and manage budget decisions
Provide financials and billings to Accounting for timely payment
Create monthly owner billings
Manage subcontracts and suppliers, including contract buyouts
Oversee budget and select trade partners and suppliers
Manage Assistant Project Managers and Project Engineers, including job assignments and career development
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent field
Minimum eight years of electrical construction management and/or electrical design experience
Minimum one year of experience with project completion from mobilization to turnover
Proficiency in medium and high voltage technical knowledge
Specialized knowledge/experience in electrical control, substations, t-line, etc.
Current driver's license
Knowledge of NEC code and NE safety code
Strong teamwork, initiative, communication, problem-solving, and leadership skills
Detail-oriented to manage multiple project tasks
Basic understanding of construction law and business practices
Intermediate skills in Microsoft Office, Project, and web applications
Positive, professional attitude with strong customer service skills
Ability to interpret and communicate Mortenson policies
Active listening skills and effective communication
Ability to travel up to 100%

The base pay range for this role is $122,600 - $183,900. (Actual range is higher for the following office locations: Denver, CO and Chicago, IL – 5%, Seattle, WA, and Portland, OR – 10%, Washington, D.C. – 12.5%).
