What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to visitors, staff, and/or members of the public while carrying out site-specific procedures, access protocols, and/or emergency response activities at a government location.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and supporting appropriate follow-up actions.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help identify unusual activity and/or potential security-related concerns.
• Monitor entrances, restricted areas, and public spaces, verifying credentials and/or permissions as required while reporting suspicious behavior, hazards, and/or policy violations.
• Perform assigned armed post duties in accordance with site policies and Allied Universal standards, maintaining professional presence and readiness to support security-related responses when appropriate.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least 1 year of armed security-related, law enforcement, and/or military experience.
• Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
• Possess an armed guard card/license.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• The ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
