Maintenance Technician

Business Overview

MacDermid Graphics Solutions is a supplier of consumable materials used to transfer images on to consumer packaging materials, our products are used to improve print quality and printing productivity. We produce and market photopolymers through an extensive line of flexographic plates that are used in the consumer packaging and printing industries. Photopolymers are molecules that change properties upon exposure to light.

Job Purpose

Provide maintenance support for Morristown production operation and facilities.

Job Responsibilities

• Responsibilities include, but not limited to:

  Installs, maintains and repairs machinery, equipment, physical structures, and pipe and electrical systems. Read and understand safety requirements. Additional responsibilities as directed by supervisor.

Skills

Three to five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Special Skills –  Some experience in PLC’s, basic electric and electronic trouble shooting. At least one year of experience in the area of industrial utilities.

Personal Skills – Good written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills; demonstrated math skills; ability to work various hours, including overtime; ability to work with minimal supervision.

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.  Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.

Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.

Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
