Corporate Training and Development Specialist

Our award-winning corporate university is hiring a Corporate Training and Development Specialist to coordinate and deliver enterprise-wide learning curricula to our four-service utility comprised of 2,000 employees. If you are excited by the opportunity to lead and facilitate a variety of trainings (team building, leadership, customer service, etc.) to our employees to support workforce development and upskilling, this is the opportunity for you!

What Else Will You be Doing?

  • Developing training modules and courses based on customer needs using a variety of instructional techniques and methods
  • Facilitating active training techniques including role playing, simulations, and group discussions to enhance learning
  • Assessing needs of customers to differentiate performance issues from learning needs
  • Evaluating training and learning effectiveness through pre- and post-training assessments and performance relative to desired outcomes - and making or recommending changes as appropriate
  • Recommending and guiding the promotion, implementation, reinforcement, and evaluation of learning solutions
  • Evaluating learning outcomes and researching trends and best practices within the industry

Who You Are

  • Demonstrated training and development experience, preferably in an organizational/corporate context
  • Knowledge of and experience applying adult learning theories, individual culture and learning styles, needs analyses, learning objectives, learning assessment, and course evaluation
  • Ability to effectively manage and facilitate classroom-style learning
  • Bachelor's Degree in Education, Organizational Leadership, Human Resources, Industrial-Organizational Psychology, or a related field is valued
  • Possession of any of the following certifications are valued: Certified Professional in Talent Development (CPTD), Certified Professional in Learning and Performance (CPLP), or Associate Professional in Talent Development (APTD)
