Job Coach – Supporting an Adult with IDD

Patton, PA | $22/hr | Additional Caregiving Hours Available

Abound Health is seeking a reliable, patient, and motivated Job Coach to support an employed adult with an intellectual disability in Patton, PA. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys helping others succeed in the workplace and is open to supplementing their schedule with additional caregiving hours for other clients.

Position Overview

We are looking for a Job Coach who can provide on-site employment support every Monday and Friday from 7:00 AM to 2:00 PM. Coverage will begin on the last Friday of the month, with both Monday and Friday shifts needed starting in April.

Job coaching involves offering verbal and physical prompts, helping the individual stay on task, meet employer expectations, and build confidence and independence in their role.

In addition to these scheduled shifts, the employee may take on community support or caregiving hours with other individuals based on availability, allowing for a more consistent weekly schedule.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide on-site job coaching support to an adult with IDD
• Use verbal and physical prompts to help the individual stay focused and complete tasks
• Encourage independence and workplace success
• Maintain communication with supervisors and care team
• Document progress and support provided
• Supplement hours by providing community-based or in-home support to other clients

Requirements

• Must be dependable, patient, and supportive
• Comfortable providing prompts, guidance, and encouragement
• Ability to work independently
• Must be able to pass background checks
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required
• ACRE or CESP certification preferred but not required

Compensation

• $22.00 per hour for job coaching
• Additional caregiving hours available at standard DSP rates (discussed during interview)

Schedule

• Fridays, 7:00 AM – 2:00 PM (starting last Friday of the month)
• Mondays & Fridays, 7:00 AM – 2:00 PM (beginning in April)
• Optional additional hours available through community support and caregiving
