Where you can find your next, right now. At Nightwing Intelligence Solutions, we've got what you're looking for! We seek a cybersecurity professional to join our Dulles team. As an ISSO, you'll be a hands-on technical practitioner on our cutting-edge cybersecurity program, executing corporate and program initiatives in alignment with USG regulations, including ICD 503, JSIG, DAAPM, and their supplements.

As the ISSO, you will execute cybersecurity initiatives, ensuring our systems are secure, compliant, and resilient. You will be a part of a growing team of skilled cybersecurity professionals, working to implement and maintain security measures that protect our vital information assets.

Key Responsibilities

  • Risk Management: Draft, update, and submit RMF bodies of evidence, including SSPs, POAMs, SCTMs, SOPs, ConOps, and test plans, ensuring timely approval by Nightwing ISSMs and our AOs
  • Security Monitoring: Execute A&A, system security configurations, and continuous monitoring activities, enhancing cyber hygiene and mitigating vulnerabilities
  • Compliance and Assessment: Participate in cybersecurity compliance assessments per USG directives and corporate policies, correcting perceived vulnerabilities and executing corrective action plans
  • Expert Consultation: Work with subject matter experts on a broad range of cybersecurity topics, representing the cybersecurity organization to internal customers
  • Incident Response: Monitor cyber incidents and carry out response activities, including investigation, containment, and resolution under the direction of the ISSM
  • Collaboration: Work closely with internal stakeholders, including IT, PMs, and senior leaders, to mitigate security requirements and concerns

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Ability to maintain a TS/SCI security clearance

  • Experience: 2+ years in cybersecurity, information systems security, or security engineering.

  • Regulatory Knowledge: Familiarity with ICD 503, JSIG, DAAPM, and other USG regulations
  • echnical Expertise: Working knowledge of operating system security features within Windows, Linux, and other platforms
  • Certification: DoDM 8140.03 IAM Level II certification or ability to obtain within six months of hire

Desired Skills

  • Experience with system forensic tools and investigation methodologies
  • Expertise with system vulnerability and compliance tools such as SCAP Compliance Checker, STIG Viewer, Nessus, and Splunk
  • Practitioner-level knowledge of NIST special publications, CNSS policies, and other cybersecurity standards

Education

Baccalaureate degree in Information Assurance, Cybersecurity, or Security Engineering. The ISSO must be willing to gain advanced cybersecurity knowledge obtained through a blend of formal education and practical experience.
