Associate Attorney Product Specialist

CoCounsel, part of Thomson Reuters, is seeking an Associate Attorney Product Specialist to join our Trust & Reliability Team. This role offers a fantastic opportunity to learn about the cutting edge of AI and legal technology. As part of the Product Management Organization, you will help ensure the reliability and value of CoCounsel, the world's first AI legal assistant. Your contributions will directly impact CoCounsel's mission to deliver unparalleled value to top law firms and legal departments globally.

About the Role

• Participate in testing and validating generative artificial intelligence technology for use in the legal industry.
• Contribute to the assessment of CoCounsel's performance from the perspective of an attorney-user, providing feedback to our team of engineers and data scientists. 
• Help identify potential applications of generative AI within legal practice. 
• Support other Thomson Reuters divisions and teams on select ad hoc projects.
• Identify innovative pathways for applying generative AI within legal practice.

About You:

• Juris Doctor and Bar Admission (any jurisdiction) required.
• Minimum of 1 to 2 years legal experience in a law firm or in-house setting.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Google Workspace. 
• Experience using various online legal research and practice tools (e.g., Westlaw, Practical Law, Lexis, Casetext, etc.)
• Experience in the use of generative AI tools is preferred.

• Passion for legal research, writing, and analysis, with uncompromising attention to detail.
• Commitment to knowledge-sharing, efficiency, and excellence in legal work.
• Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills. 
• Excellent organizational, planning and project management skills. 
• Dependable team player with strong work ethic, creativity and vision who works collaboratively and cooperatively with others in a team-oriented environment.
