Job Description:

Hitachi Rail is looking for an enthusiastic self-motivated Senior Telecom Integration Engineer who thrives in a fast-paced environment. The successful candidate is comfortable performing a wide range of tasks from administrative to strategic. The position is based in Naples, Italy.

Accountabilities 
 

During the bid and project development phases (D&B, Design and Build phase): 

• Support the integration of Telecom subsystems, with special focus on PIS (Passenger Information Systems), ECP (Emergency Call Point System) and Radio systems; 

• Support the identification, the management and the fulfilment of the contractual requirements  

• Prepare the subsystem requirements specification; 

• Support the preparation of the Conceptual Design, Detail Design and Installation Design for the above subsystems based on the requirements analysis; 

• Support the identification and resolve the interfaces with the main internal and external stakeholders (e.g. Signaling, Civil Work, Rolling Stock, SCADA, HSE, RAMS, QA, etc.) 

• Guarantee the continuous updating of the standard design in accordance to the technology innovation  

• Prepare functional and performance test specifications 

• Prepare configuration templates based on the standard design 

• Support the Factory Acceptance tests and the FIT (Factory Integration Test) activities 

• Support the type test during the start-up of the commissioning activities, through a proper coaching of onsite resources 

• Supervise the proper execution of the commissioning and SAT (Site Acceptance Test) activities  

• Support system tests during trial run. 

During revenue service phase (O&M phase), 

• support O&M department for L2/L3 maintenance activities. 

• support O&M department to manage obsolescence of the Telecom solutions, by proposing new state of the art solutions aligned with the market trends and compliant with railways requirements.
