Job Summary

Part of a larger team delivering high quality technology solutions to the business. Design, develop and install software solutions. Build high-quality, innovative and fully performing software in compliance with internal architecture, development & design standards & best practices. Design, modify, develop, write, implement and troubleshoot software programming applications. Support and/or install software applications. Participate in the testing process through test review and analysis, test witnessing and certification of software.  Works within a Waterfall or Agile methodology/framework based team. Collaborates heavily with Project Management, Business Analyst and Infrastructure Job Families.

Job Description

Essential Job Functions:

Responsibilities include one or more of the following for medium to large projects:

• Collaborate with Technology Business Analysts, Business Stakeholders to understand requirements, Design and Develop high quality Maximo solutions. 

• Responsible for the creation of Unit test cases and ensure thoroughness in executing them. 

• Support Business Analysts and business stakeholders with the creation and execution of System Test cases 

• Build trusting relationships and work collaboratively across teams, System Integrators, job families to accomplish complex goals. 

• Contribute to Continuous Improvement initiatives, Dev Ops, Automate Testing, etc.

• Develops advanced solutions to resolve customer and prospective customer issues in a logical, creative and structured manner.

• Align the client’s goals, needs and objectives to the solutions. Communicate issues and status in a clear, timely manner. Interpret specifications and build solutions to those specifications. Generate infrastructure support documentation. Evaluate and propose process improvements.

• Build and maintain a high level of knowledge about the company's software/hardware products.    

• May provide training and mentoring, as well as work direction, to others on the team.

Minimum Requirements:

Solution Engineer Senior (SG7):

Education: Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or related technical field is required. 

Experience: 5 years of relevant work experience is required.

An equivalent combination of education and related experience may be considered.

Solution Engineer Principal (SG8):

Education: Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or related technical field is required.

Experience: 7 years relevant work experience is required.

An equivalent combination of education and related experience may be considered.

Preferred Requirements:

Experience/Skills:

• Experience with Java/J2EE, PL/SQL, and Oracle 19c.

• Strong knowledge and experience in configuring Maximo workflows, automation scripts, and the Maximo Integration Framework (MIF). This includes web service technologies such as REST (using JSON/XML) and SOAP services, as well as start centers, security, escalations, cron jobs, BIRT, and QBR.

• Familiarity with business processes related to Work, Asset Management, Supply Chain, and Procurement.

• Experience with OpenShift, Kubernetes, React.js, and React Native is a plus.

• Demonstrated critical thinking, a sense of urgency, and attention to detail to support real-time operations.

Certifications:

• Related Maximo certifications are a plus, but not required.

Location: Prefer candidates to live near Columbus, OH or Tulsa, OK

Compensation:

Solution Engineer Senior (SG7): $85,081.00-106,352.50

Solution Engineer Principal (SG8): $96,110.00-124,940.00
