Agricultural Mechanic
Seneca Foods in Gillett, WI is currently seeking an Agricultural Mechanic to join our team due to promoting within the company. The Agricultural Mechanic will have the ability to operate, troubleshoot, maintain and repair a variety of Agriculture equipment. They will also supervise assigned seasonal employees during seasonal harvest operations as well as overhaul and rebuild equipment during the non-processing season.
Responsibilities:
- Repair and maintenance of green bean harvest equipment and related equipment
- Maintain cost control over equipment for budget purposes
- Maintenance in other areas of the facility when needed
- Responsible for maintaining an even, constant and sufficient flow of product of a quality that meets or exceeds company standards during harvest season
- Employee relations
- Ensure that GMP’s (General manufacturing Practices), safety rules and regulations are being followed and enforced
- Work in conjunction with Area Supervisors to maintain production and quality
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Mechanical/ repair experience preferred
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Good Mechanical repair and trouble shooting skills
- Willingness and ability to work in a team environment
- Strong communication skills
- CDL and Pesticide License desired, but willing to train
