The Role
The world’s leading full service entertainment, media, and sports agency is seeking a Trust Accounting Associate to work in Accounts Receivable. The primary responsibility of the Trust Accounting Associate is to ensure timely processing of client payments. Responsibilities will also include basic accounts receivable duties, follow-up on client monies/outstanding invoices, cash receipt processing, heavy data entry, invoicing and billing. Additionally, the Trust Accounting Associate will create and manage spreadsheets in Excel format that are customized to client needs and requests.
Responsibilities
Recording incoming payments, commission and outgoing payments for clients
Manage master royalty tracking and payment files
Prepare monthly bank reconciliation for Sports Licensing
Perform quarter-end close deliverables and reconciliations
Prepare and compile supporting documentation for quarterly payments
Follow up on discrepancies as necessary
Collaborate extensively with the Sports Licensing team
Manage the Sports Trust and Sports Licensing shared inbox
Create invoices
Interact with the agents/assistants
Overall accountant representative for our clients
Client reports/summaries
Follow-up of client monies/outstanding invoices
Basic accounts receivable/accounts payable duties
Data entry
Microsoft excel spreadsheets
Word documents – business letters, etc.
Qualifications
3+ years Accounting experience
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience preferred
Entertainment experience is preferred
Royalty experience preferred
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Ability to work well with a team and represent the culture of the company
Team player with a high level of energy, enthusiasm
Demonstrated ability to multitask and manage conflicting priorities
Ability to succeed in a fast paced, highly demanding, high volume, dynamic, corporate environment
Unimpeachable integrity and can be trusted to maintain confidential information
Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
10-key by touch preferred
Typing – 45 wpm preferred
Good organizational, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills; able to multi-task
Will take initiative; ask for more work if needed
Location: This is a hybrid based role out of our Los Angeles office.
Compensation: The base hourly rate for this position is in the range of $25.00 - $29.00. Ultimately, wages may vary based upon, but not limited to, relevant experience, time in role, business sector, and geographic location, among other criteria. Please talk with a CAA Recruiter to learn more.
