Position Summary:

We are searching for an experienced and enthusiastic Senior Research Associate/Research Associate to support the manufacturing of novel nucleic acid therapeutics. We are looking for an individual who enjoys hands-on laboratory benchwork and brings scientific rigor and intellectual curiosity to their role. This individual will have the opportunity to work in a dynamic and fast-paced entrepreneurial environment as part of a highly collaborative and rapidly growing team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Designing and synthesizing new DNA vectors via cloning strategies such as Gibson, subcloning, or Golden Gate assembly.
• Strong background in nucleic acid enzymology and proficiency in the enzymatic manipulation of DNA.
• Analysis and characterization of DNA through standard molecular biology techniques such as agarose/PAGE gels, capillary electrophoresis, or UPLC.
• Experience with protein purification and expression.
• Strong experimental background including design, troubleshooting, and analysis.
• Effectively communicate experimental methods and findings in both oral and written formats
• Maintain a workload of multiple concurrent projects and rapidly adjust experimental priorities to align with company priorities.
• Comfortable working both independently and collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team environment.

Qualifications:

• M.S. in Biology, Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, or related field; ideally with 1+ years of experience
• Broad experience in molecular biology techniques, particularly as relevant for the production, purification, and quantification of nucleic acids
• Experience with the handling and characterization of epigenetic modifications of DNA a strong plus.
• Enthusiasm for working at the bench
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills
• Interest in developing new skills
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, multidisciplinary, and rapidly growing biotech environment
