Collins Aerospace, Aerostructure Aftermarket Technical Services is looking for a Spare Parts Specialist who will process parts provisioning based on engineering changes, inquiries related to parts usability and interchangeability, update and maintain spares provisioning database. The spares parts analyst directly interacts with customers, suppliers and supports various Collins departments. You will work within a high-performance team environment to maintain 24/7 global support, along with program management responsibilities.

This position works Onsite in Chula Vista, CA.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Prepares and maintains records of spare parts and materials used by the various Collins programs.

  • Verifies spare parts information against bills of materials, service bulletins and engineering orders.

  • Supports the development of spares parts list and parts catalogs.

  • Supports the development of the recommended spares parts list for in-line and overhaul recommendations.

  • Tracks open inquiries and drives to closure.

  • Reviews documents for quality and accuracy.

  • Liaison with Engineering, Collins MROs, Airframers, Engine OEM, customers, suppliers, and Airlines to meet business needs.

  • Managing customer interface and correspondence for both internal and external customers.

  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications/ Experience needed:

  • Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years of experience or in absence of a degree, 9 years of relevant experience

  • U.S. Person (U.S. citizen, permanent resident, refugee or asylee) or eligible to obtain necessary export authorizations required.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with spare parts and provisioning is preferred.

  • Ability to verbally communicate in alternate languages is helpful.

  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

  • Efficient time management skills.

  • Can quickly learn new software and tools.

  • Can delegate & manage tasks to corresponding teams.  

  • Can provide technical response to internal and external customers in a timely manner. 

  • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing Principals.

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office suite.

  • Ability to perform accurate measurements.

  • Excellent verbal communication skills both written and oral.

  • General familiarization with the suite of manuals used in the aerospace industry.
