Scope of Position 

The Peripheral Vascular Lab encompasses 3 procedure rooms located on the second floor of East Hospital.   The vascular lab is staffed 8:00 am – 4:00 pm Monday – Friday, Saturday from 8:00 am – noon, and Holiday 10 hours on-call coverage for emergent procedures.  The tech develops and maintains CEU’s, registry, and skill level; Provides sonographic imaging procedures to patients; Assists in training other staff to refine sonographic imaging skills; and assists with quality assessment/improvement.

POSITION SUMMARY
The Vascular Technologist performs vascular procedures (both imaging and non-imaging) for the diagnosis of heart and vessel abnormalities. In addition, the position provides patient education and performs quality assessment activities for the division, under the direction of department management.
Minimum Education Required
2-Year College Degree
Required Qualifications
Required: Successful completion of an accredited Vascular Sonography program. Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT) or Registered Vascular Specialist (RVS) from the American Registry of Diagnostic Sonographers (ARDMS), American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT), or Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) Registry. Preferred: Previous experience in Vascular Sonography.

MINIMUM REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Associate's Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience. Completion of an accredited Vascular Sonography program., Registered Vascular Technologist or Registered Vascular Specialist from the American Registry of Diagnostic Sonographers, American Registry of Radiologic Technologists or Cardiovascular Credentialing International Registry. 0 years of relevant experience required. 0-2 years of relevant experience preferred.
