Job Description: 

As the Senior Engineering Manager at Articul8.AI, you'll be part of shaping Articul8.AI's global expansion, contributing to a dynamic and innovative team, leading and growing our talented engineering team focused on building cutting-edge enterprise GenAI platform and products. You'll guide the design, implementation, and optimization of our backend and frontend infrastructure. This role involves mentoring engineers, driving technical excellence, and ensuring alignment between development efforts and overall business goals.  

Role Responsibilities: 

• Team Leadership:  Recruit, mentor, and develop a high-performing engineering team. Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous learning. 

• Technical Architecture Oversight:  Drive the overall architectural direction for the GenAI platform, ensuring scalability, maintainability, and alignment with business goals. Collaborate with global stakeholders for seamless integration. 

• Delivery Excellence:  Establish and manage agile development processes, project timelines, and quality standards. Balance innovation with timely execution. 

• Cross-functional collaboration:  Work closely with product management, data scientists, and global engineering teams to understand requirements, translate them into technical solutions, and manage dependencies. 

• Talent Development:  Conduct performance reviews, provide regular feedback, and identify opportunities for team members' growth and development. 

• Technical Problem Solving:  Participate in hands-on problem-solving with the team when needed, leveraging your deep technical expertise to guide solutions. 

Requirements: 

• Education Experience: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience. 

• Professional Experience: 5+ years of direct implementation experience. A proven track record as a technical leader in developing scalable, maintainable, and high-performance solutions. Direct involvement in the architecture, development, and deployment of reliable microservice-based applications.

• Leadership Experience: A minimum of 3 years of proven experience in leading and mentoring engineering teams, with a track record of managing projects successfully and delivering high-quality software on schedule. 

• Talent Development: Proven ability to attract, hire, and develop top engineering talent, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement within the team. 

• Technical Requirements: 

  • Backend and Full-Stack Development: Proficiency in backend and optionally full-stack development, ensuring robust and scalable web application development. 

  • Frontend Technologies: Experience building production applications using frontend technologies, including HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and modern frameworks like React or Angular, enabling effective collaboration with frontend teams. 

  • Cloud Computing Platforms: Deep knowledge of cloud computing platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure), containerization technologies (Kubernetes), and database systems (both SQL and NoSQL), ensuring the ability to architect and manage scalable, cloud-native applications. 

  • Databases and Data tools: Product development experience using one or more data tools like BigQuery, Snowflake, or Databricks. Development experience using one or more database systems, including SQL and NoSQL databases such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, or Redis. 

  • Experience building machine learning training pipelines or inference services in a production setting. Experience with distributed computing frameworks like Ray. Experience developing tools, libraries, and infrastructure for data preprocessing, model training, and deployment of LLMs in production environments.
