JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

Temporary, part-time assistance is needed in the Animal Resource Program.

Duties include:

  • Operating cage washing equipment
  • Following standard operating procedures for the cleaning and sanitizing of equipment
  • Disposal of waste
  • General room and floor cleaning
  • Disinfecting, organizing, and setting up rooms, etc.
  • Driving a box truck to deliver equipment
  • Loading and unloading feed bags, bedding, and equipment

Additional responsibilities may involve some Animal Caretaker C duties such as changing cages, daily feeding and watering, transferring animals, health checks of animals, and other duties as assigned by husbandry staff.

Estimated 19 hours weekly with wages starting at $15.00!

Pursuant to the Jeanne Clery Disclosure of Campus Security Policy and Campus Crime Statistics Act and the Pennsylvania Act of 1988, Penn State publishes a combined Annual Security and Annual Fire Safety Report (ASR). The ASR includes crime statistics and institutional policies concerning campus security, such as those concerning alcohol and drug use, crime prevention, the reporting of crimes, sexual assault, and other matters.
