We support customers throughout the Department of Defense and U.S. Government in building innovative new tools to deliver unique world-class data exploitation capabilities.

SciTec is seeking a Risk And Opportunity Lead for an agile software development program. This is a unique opportunity to join a small business delivering core capabilities for National defense to support our programs delivering Next-Generation Missile Warning software. You will work within a fast-paced team delivering end-to-end software processing of Overhead Persistent InfraRed (OPIR) sensor data for Missile Warning, Missile Defense, Battlespace Awareness, and Technical Intelligence. SciTec seeks a candidate who will thrive in an environment where they can solve challenging engineering problems in support of critical national security objectives.

Responsibilities

You will work closely with program leaders and advise the team to provide the best, unified solutions that meets overall performance, cost and schedule needs. In this role, you will perform critical functions, including:

  • Develop and actively monitor cost, schedule, risks and opportunities in support of contract execution through the assessment of program issues and risks and the development of resolutions and mitigations
  • Ensure proactive use of the Risk and Opportunity (R&O) Management tools and processes, integrating R&O into existing rhythms
  • Improve the overall risk and opportunity management process which includes analysis of likelihood and impact
  • Use excellent communication skills to work across multiple programs to ensure end-to-end system performance and integration efforts meet mission needs

Requirements

  • Experience developing detailed plans/schedules in support of technical/production requirements
  • Technical mission experience to evaluate cost, schedule and technical impacts to risks and opportunities
  • 5+ years of practical program management experience
  • Strong verbal, written and presentation communication skills and experience presenting and conveying focused messages to program leadership and external customers.
  • Bachelor's degree in a technical or business discipline with 10 years of professional experience

Candidates who have one or more of the following skills will be preferred

  • Experience leading risk and opportunity management of Earned Value Management (EVM) programs
  • Experience with large scale, complex missile or space systems including familiarity with products, designs, program processes, subcontractor teams
  • Experience driving continuous improvement and common process across diverse stakeholder groups
  • Ability to develop solutions to complex problems which require the regular use of ingenuity and innovation and ensure solutions are consistent with organization objectives
  • Active DoD Final SECRET clearance or higher

The pay range for this position is $93,000 - $142,000 / year. SciTec considers several factors when extending an offer of employment, including but not limited to the role and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, education/training, and key skills. This is not a guarantee of compensation.
