PrimeSource Building Products, Inc., one of the nation’s largest wholesale distributors of building supply products, has an immediate opportunity available for an experienced, reliable, and hard-working Sr. Supply Planning Manager to join the team. This position will manage a portfolio of products in terms of matching supply to demand, ensuring 98%+ on-time delivery and 98%+ fill rates to customers, while reducing stock outs at large distribution hubs at the optimum level of inventory in hub and spoke distribution network and will report up to the Director of Supply Chain Planning- Supply Chain.

 

Qualifications

This position will be responsible for. Additional duties may be assigned as necessary:

• The Sr. Supply Planning Manager provides functional and technical support for existing and future implementations of SAP APO integration with ECC Supply Chain, and related modules to business users and peers.
• Develop strategic plans to guide portfolio reliability and ensure continued service improvement for long term performance.
• Develop a team of supply planners to accurately supply plan for the full SAP horizon.
• Producing a weekly supply plan via ERP (SAP-APO, other) based on the latest consensus demand plan for all active SKU’s.
• Steering and managing team and outcomes via standardized weekly and monthly planning process (Sales and Operations Execution - S&OE, S&OP/ SIOP)
• Provide leadership to direct reports and team members: lead people, systems, and business process for supply chain management.
• Reviews overall supply situation or on assigned portfolio of products and continuously drives KPI’s to improve fill rates, DC in stocks, Slow Moving/Deadstock etc.
• Be responsible for leading a complex portfolio of products, including products with promotional volumes, a diverse set of external manufacturing sites and alternate customer channels, and/or with demand seasonality.
• Leading special projects related to product launches, line extensions, and various supply chain initiatives.
• Review and resolve any tactical inventory rebalancing of inventory between distribution centers for key customers and manage inventory of new and phase-out products.
• Drive scalable business processes and reporting that continues to lead planners to improve fill rates, reduce stock outs, and optimize inventory for categories of products.
• Contribute to the development and implementation of ERP based planning processes and will be accountable for demonstrated use of ERP and supply planning to improve department efficiency.
• Work with Sourcing management team to escalate supply shortages to supplier executive management to secure supply.
• Provide Sourcing management team a rolling forecast (by commodity / by supplier) to enable supplier to allocate adequate capacity to meet future needs.
• Develop processes to constantly review and update master data elements and system set ups (e.g., lead times, stocking targets, order quantity, etc.) in SAP-APO
• Monitor and provide actionable feedback on supplier performance to Sourcing management team

Additional Essential Functions

• Must reside in Irving, Tx area reporting to office Mon-Thurs, WFH Friday.

• Attendance/Punctuality: Is consistently at work and on time; Ensures work responsibilities are covered when absent; Arrives at meeting and appointments on time. 
• Education:                                              
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Supply Chain Management, MBA, Management, Business/Administration, Finance, Education, Manufacturing, or Science.
• Certifications:
• APICS, CPIM, CSCP, APIC, CIRM, CPSM, IBF, MBA, or CSCMP.
• Experience:
• At least 5-10 years of experience in supply planning function in sizable companies.
• Computer Skills:
  Proficiency with Tier-1 ERPs (SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics etc.), ERP planning systems (SAP-APO, Blue Yonder/JDA, SAP-IBP, other), and Microsoft office suite.
