About the role

Overview

American Credit Acceptance is looking for an experienced senior leader with a proven track record of success. As the VP, Originations you will partner with senior leaders across sales, funding, and underwriting to maximize loan performance through effective execution/management of the credit decisioning and funding functions. 

What You’ll Do  

  • Support the development and deployment of Strategic Initiatives across the Department.
  • Set performance plans to achieve monthly and annual goals.
  • Identify and lead cross-functional continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Provide leadership, guidance, and support to Originations leaders.
  • Play a key role in budgeting, forecasting, business development and project management.
  • Share responsibility for the formulation and achievement of specific collection objectives.
  • Partner with leaders across functional areas to work on highly visible projects with a large business impact.
  • Foster culture through the creation of a positive working environment to achieve productivity and performance standards.
  • Develop the skills of your team through goal setting, delegation, training, coaching, and performance management.

Specific Experience Should Also Include:

  • College degree or equivalent
  • 5+ years of credit decision and loan funding experience, preferably in the auto industry
  • 10+ years of management/supervisor experience with proven success in driving results and exceeding goals
  • Advanced understanding of auto loan contracts and supporting documentation

  

On-Site Office

The person in this role will be required to work from our corporate headquarters in Spartanburg, South Carolina.

 

Travel

This position will require up to 25% travel.
