In this role, you will:
- Responsible for proper handling of grievances; establishing and maintaining a healthy union / management relationship; Ensure that employment decisions/actions which affect employees (i.e., demotions, separations, transfers, and disciplinary action measures) are made in a timely, consistent and lawful manner and in accordance with the Collective Bargaining Agreement.
- Counsel department managers and Leaders regarding employee relations issues and recommends actions consistent with CBA and prior practice.
- Assist Team Leaders with reviewing and developing performance improvement plans.
- Coordinate the recruiting process for new hires; partnering with recruiter, Team Leaders and any hourly and/or union interviewers; Partner with Training Coordinator to ensure training strategy is implemented.
- Maintains and ensures accuracy of training record keeping for the purpose of documenting compliance to governmental regulations (OSHA, FDA, etc.)
- Partner with Maintenance Apprentice Lead by providing support to NCSF Electrical and Mechanical Apprentice program. Work with state and local training affiliates.
- Develop Human Resource solutions by collecting and analyzing information; recommending courses of actions; Maintain HRIS records and compile reports from the database.
- Support broad range of Local and Corporate strategic Human Resources initiatives to progress the Human Resource function within the Site.
- Develops and maintains affirmative action program; file EEO-1 annual report; maintain other records, reports and logs to conform to EEO regulations. Partner with Corporate Human Resources and third party vendors with completion.
- Partner with Corporate Benefit’s Team and outsources benefits providers in assisting employees with questions and concerns regarding benefits and FMLA.

- Bachelor’s degree (SPHR certification preferred) and 3+ years of progressive HR leadership experience with strong HR generalist background and deep knowledge of HR systems and processes.
- Prior experience in manufacturing preferred.
- Prior Union experience preferred.
- Demonstrated success leading organizational change, influencing and coaching.
- Strong business acumen with a demonstrated ability to develop and align HR initiatives to accelerate achievement of strategic business objectives.
- Strong understanding of industry HR
