We are looking for a Sr. Test Lead – Data Pipelines & API Automation to join us as we build cutting-edge technology solutions!  This is your opportunity to be part of a team that is committed to delivering best in class service to our customers.

In this role, you will lead the test strategy and automation efforts for Azure-based data pipelines and API workflows. You will design and implement robust validation frameworks to ensure data integrity, schema compliance, and transformation accuracy across Azure Data Factory, Synapse, and Databricks. Leveraging test automation, CI/CD best practices, and performance testing, you will drive quality assurance across cloud-native architectures. Collaborating with cross-functional teams, you will optimize test data management, enforce security best practices, and enhance overall testing maturity to support scalable and reliable data solutions.

Responsibilities:

Test Strategy & Coverage Ownership

• Ensure comprehensive test coverage from Azure Data Factory (ADF) pipelines, Azure Synapse, and Data Lake storage to API layers and automated workflows.
• Define and enforce test-driven development (TDD), behavior-driven development (BDD), and CI/CD testing best practices across the engineering org.
• Establish robust test data management strategies for scalable and high-fidelity test cases.

Azure Data Pipeline & Graph Processing Validation

• Develop validation frameworks for Azure Data Factory (ADF), Synapse Pipelines, and Databricks to ensure data integrity, schema compliance, and transformation accuracy.
• Automate data validation for structured and unstructured data stored in Azure Data Lake (ADLS).
• Implement data lineage tracking and reconciliation checks.
• Design performance and scalability tests for Azure SQL, Cosmos DB, and GraphDB workloads.

Automated Testing & CI/CD Integration

• Implement automated API testing frameworks for Azure API Management, Function Apps, and RESTful endpoints to ensure contract compliance, performance, and security.
• Design integration, functional, regression, and load testing strategies using Azure DevOps pipelines for automated deployment validation.
• Work with QA and DevOps teams to enforce automated testing gates in Azure-based CI/CD pipelines.

Leadership & Cross-Functional Collaboration

• Collaborate with Azure data engineers and cloud architects to refine testing methodologies.
• Communicate testing strategies and quality risk assessments to stakeholders, aligning test plans with product roadmaps.

Qualifications:

• 8+ years of experience in test strategy development, automation frameworks, and quality engineering for cloud-native, Azure-based data platforms.
• Expertise in testing large-scale data pipelines using Azure Data Factory, Azure Synapse, and Databricks.
• Hands-on experience with data validation frameworks.
• Strong knowledge of API testing tools.
• Experience with Azure DevOps for CI/CD pipelines, automated testing
