About the role

Overview

Knowledge Services, a leading multidisciplinary organization in the software, professional services, and cyber security industry, is seeking a Staff Accountant. This position will be a key member of the Finance team, reporting directly to the Corporate Controller and working with others throughout the Company. Our ideal candidate will be hands-on and willing to implement new processes as needed, not satisfied with just learning how things were done previously. You will join a team that is passionate about improving the daily function of the finance team. 

Responsibilities

  • Maintain annual state registrations 
  • Perform month-end close, which includes but is not limited to bank reconciliations and various account reconciliations 
  • Analyze actual to budget variances to ensure accuracy of financials 
  • Assist with annual audit 

Qualifications

  • Minimum 1-3 years Staff Accountant 
  • Proficient with Microsoft Excel and advanced formulas 
  • Experience with Intercompany transactions 
  • Microsoft GP experience preferred but not required 
  • Self-starter and excellent communication skills 
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance
