Our Seattle, WA location is part of our Liquid Beverage division and creates sweet syrups and sauce variations for Kerry customers and brands. What You'll Do:

 

The Quality Assurance Technician is responsible for ensuring that production and products meets or exceeds the quality standards established by Kerry and our customers. This position will verify conformity through measurement and assessment. The role of QA technician requires sound judgement to make rational decisions pertaining to recommended adjustments, corrective actions, and disposition of goods. Success in this position requires performing in a fast-paced performance with cross-functional teams.

 

  • Provide support to plant production to ensure continuous quality operations.
  • Pull samples and perform a variety of tests, inspections, report results, and retain samples.
  • Collect and enter all data points into computer systems, primarily SAP
  • Investigate, collect data and implement solutions to quality issues.
  • Inspection of machines/vessels/work areas to ensure compliance with GMP and food safety standards.
  • Assessment of finished product quality using standard test methods.
  • Perform random case audits for quality, package, and coding compliance.
  • Maintain and secure manufacturing specification-controlled documents.
  • Assist Quality Manager with special projects, reports, and training needs.

 

This Position is Scheduled Work Monday-Friday, from 5:30PM to 3:00AM, Overtime is Available and Flexibility is Appreciated.

What You'll Need to Succeed

 

  • College Degree in Food Science, Biology, Microbiology, or Chemistry or related experience ideal.
  • 2-3 years in Quality role in food, pharma or chemical production experience preferred
  • Formerly trained in HACCP (hazard analysis critical control point system) and able to effectively train essential plant employees in HACCP principles and SQF principles ideal.
  • Skill in organizing resources and establishing priorities.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and SAP.
  • Knowledge or experience of FDA, Local, State, Federal regulations pertinent for the manufacturing facility.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work effectively with a wide range of constituencies in a diverse community.
  • Ability to analyze and assess training and development needs.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of records and information.
  • Skill in examining operations and procedures and implementing new strategies and procedures.

What Kerry Offers You:

 

The starting wage for this role is $27.00 (minimum) per hour. This position may also be eligible for a $1.00 per hour shift differential and/or overtime. In addition to your pay, Kerry offers benefits such as a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and retirement contribution (all benefits and incentives are subject to eligibility requirements).
