Job Summary

Responsibilities:

• Performs reconciliation and analysis for several balance sheet accounts
• Analyzes financial results for both internal and external use
• Tracks and maintains monthly P/L and balance sheet activity
• Develops forecasts and budgets, identifying risks and opportunities
• Reviews general ledger and balance sheets
• Resolves various accounting/reconciliation issues
• Completes financial reports: monthly, quarterly and annual reports, including but not limited to monthly and fiscal close, internal and external audit reporting; manages report preparation and distribution
• Performs related duties and special projects as assigned
• Ad hoc analysis / review as identified or assigned
• Perform analytical and research activities related to VA income

Qualifications:

• Four year degree in Accounting or Finance
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Strong Excel skills required, Access database skills a plus)
• Ability to multi-task between various priorities, tasks and timelines
• Detailed oriented with strong analytical/problem solving skills
• Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
• Strong organization and planning skills
• An established reputation for integrity
• Collaborative - works well as a member of a team
• Experience with SAP or other large ERP
• Accounting experience - 4 years corporate or 1 year public
• CPA certifications or candidate or MBA, preferred
• Lead internal department initiatives & projects
• Experience delivering presentations to department management and co-workers
• General accounting knowledge and understanding of balance sheet process
• Strong database and data analytic skills
